Eating Glass Pays Off

Ripley's Lucky Painproof ManPittsburghers are always in the news, but most aren’t as unique as this. Lucky ‘The Painproof Man’, aka Richard Swartz, was just crowned the winner of Ripley’s Believe It or Not’s Unbelievable Talents Contest In New York City.  Held at Ripley’s Times Square Odditorium, the show featured 4 finalists from around the country showing off their sideshow entertaining skills. If you’ve seen Lucky’s act before, it’s no wonder he won.

Eating glass, walking up a stairway of swords, sticking needles in his face…he is the real deal. We’ve featured him on the blog before, but if you ever get a chance to see him perform up close, you won’t believe your eyes…if you can keep them open.

There’s an AOL News video talking to some of the judges and shots of all 4 performers at this link. (I gave up trying to post the video here, screen shot below, sorry)
