King of Pittsburgh Chocolate

If you grew up in Pittsburgh or the Western PA area, you know the name of Sarris chocolate. Whether you sold it for fundraising when you were in grade school, bought it from countless retail stores in the region or even ventured to the Canonsburg factory, store and ice cream parlor you’ve surely had it at least once (or in my case, way too much). Sarris’ namesake Frank Sarris passed away Monday evening, leaving behind a legacy of small-business success, philanthropy and the title of being the “Undisputed Chocolate King of Western Pennsylvania”.
