RIP Zelda Rubinstein

Wow. Three celebrity passings yesterday. Author J. D. Salinger (91) , my favorite historian (and author) Howard Zinn (87), as well as actress and  Pittsburgh native  Zelda Rubinstein (76). You may remember Zelda from one of her many quirky roles, but she is best remembered as Tangina Barrons, the psychic medium from the Poltergeist films. They still give me nightmares. And while she may have only stood 4 feet 3 inches tall, her on-screen presence was larger than life. Zelda will also be remembered for her human rights activism for little people and HIV/AIDS work in the ’80s.

Great post and a excellent read. You have raised some legitimate points. Good job, keep it up. I adore coming back back to this webpage and reading the quality content you always have available.

My favorite character in Poltergeist. Totally freaks me out to this day. Sad she is gone. At least the Poltergeist curse didn’t get her.
