Over the last few months, local director Thom Glunt’s construction of a giant cardboard city for a music video had been getting much local attention from numerous sources such as the City Paper and local blogs. Now with recent release of the video for “Brittney Lane Don’t Care” by the local band Meeting of Important People, the video is garnering national attention. We couldn’t help but feel ecstatic for Thom (and the band) as we stumbled across the video on The Cool Hunter website today, a national (and international) design and trends website.
Thom is a great up and coming local director who we are expecting great things out of in the future. No pressure Thom. His demo reel gives me chills with its haunting music and a somewhat cold PGH backdrop. He’s definitely got a great style and vision that comes together in each of his videos. And while the music and bands are different, there’s definitely a unique quality that ties them all together.
