If you missed last year’s magnificent light displays on buildings such as the Cathedral of Learning and The Omni William Penn, well, there’s nothing quite like a building-sized display of art…that isn’t really even there. This year’s Festival of Lights is set to open this Thursday, and runs until Sunday, September 27th, coinciding with the G20 summit. The main areas of interest will be at the Penn Avenue and 10th Street intersection, with projections on the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, The Courtyard Marriott and The Westin Convention Center.
Presented by The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, this year’s exhibition features work from international lighting designers Artlumiere of New York & Paris, Casa Magica of Germany, ETC of the UK as well as Clear Story Creative of Pittsburgh.
