Cannonball Curds
I was pleasantly surprised today while digging through the cheese case at Right By Nature in the Strip and came across Arsenal Cheese’s Cannonball Curds. We quickly threw back the cheese in our hands and grabbed the curds. I had been hearing about the locally made (Lawrenceville) Arsenal Cheese curds through the Twittersphere and was dying to try them out. OMG…I need to buy a case of these things. They are so creamy that we started spreading them on some fresh Mancini’s bread that we also picked up today…melt in your mouth delicious. I have a feeling they won’t last more than a day or two in our house.
It also looks like you pick them up at the East End Food Co-op as well as R-by-N. Continue reading

Get Out Your Best Tweed!
I’m so glad Rusty Bridge posted this flyer a few days ago, or I may not have even known about this! It’s about time we had one of these in Pittsburgh! Organized by Clankworks in Lawrenceville, the inaugural Tweed Ride is happening this Saturday afternoon and should be a blast. The ride starts in Lawrenceville at 3 and ends up in the South Side. And if you’re like us at City Creative, it’ll be a round trip because we live in the South Side. We can’t wait! More info here! And if you’re asking yourself “just what exactly is a Tweed Ride”, check out SF Tweed blog, or just see image below: Continue reading

Holy Pudding!
This is the photo that did it. It’s one of those photos that makes me say, “Wow! WTF is that? OMG! I love it! It has to go on the blog!”
Local blogger Rob de la Cretaz took some amazingly awesome photos from last Friday’s Valentine’s Day Pudding Massacre @ Belvedere’s in Lawrenceville. I wish I had known about this! Would pudding wrestling be a winter Olympic sport? I’m guessing Summer Games.
See Rob’s entire 160 image photo set here! (Just a warning…depending on your modesty, it’s possibly NSFW)
You can also check out Rob’s blog of random uniqueness, I Call Shens.
